I might as well.
0:07-0:12 - Here, we have your standard Zombie horde hold off wall. I’m thinking it’s a reference to either Dawn of the Dead or Land of the Dead.
0:12-0:15 - Check the background for a Jaeger fighting a Kaiju (complete with a Godzilla roar). Judiging by it’s shape, it’s Knifehead. Many Del Toro films are referenced, so Pacific Rim is no surprise.
0:20-0:29 - Here, the Lard Lad Doughnuts sign comes to life once again in the same manner to as in an earlier Treehouse of Horror (I think it was #4 or 6), only to be attacked by a cyclopes Cheif Wggum. The style of the Cyclopes is from The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.
0:29- 0:35- Hitchcock re-creates a scene from The Birds with crows and Edna Crabapple.
0:35-0:44 - “All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy” is, of course, from The Shinning by Steven King, who menaces Bart before he flees. The Simpsons have already done a full parody of that story in an earlier Treehouse episode.
0:44 - 0:48 - Groundskeeper Willie as Hellboy fighting Kronen.
0:48- 1:02- Homer becomes a Reaper vampire and Carl becomes Blade. Both from Blade II
1:04 - Beneath the original Tracy Ulman Show models for the Simpsons lies the skeleton of Godzilla.
1:07 - 1:17 - Burns as the eye-creature whose name I forget from Pan’s Labyrinth, and Mr. Smithers as a Fairy.
1:18 - 1:27 - Okay, the furthest golden amulet on the right is one of the Golden Army from Hellboy II, the bug Marge and cashier are from the film Mimic.
1:28 - 1:34 - Phantom of the Opera, just about every itteration there is, including the one set int he future, in SPACE! (Phantom of the Paradise). I don’t recognize all the versions, but Lon Chaney Sr is there, and that’s all that matters.
1:37-1:40 - Cthulhu himself!
1:41- 1:46 - Okay, here’s where I fall apart. The two leftmost are (from left to right) H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe. Next to them is Ray Bradbury. Beyond that, I got nothing.
1:51-1:56 - The Classic Universal Monsters, in order of Appearance. Frankenstein Monster, Dracula, the Wolf Man, The Mummy (Kharis), The Metaluna Mutant (Background, This Island Earth), The Gillman/The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Bride of Frankenstein and The Invisible Man.
1:56 - 2:05 - This is an homage to the film The Car I believe. Either that or Christine, but the model suggests the former.
2:05 - 2:07 Okay, this one is going to hurt. We have (From left to right, top to bottom): Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone), Robby the Robot (Lost in Space), A monster I can’t identify (but may be the Kraken from Jack the Giant Killer), A Xenomorph (Alien), A Mole Person (The Mole People), Kang and Kodos crashing their saucer, a Morlock (The Time Machine) bursting from the ground, The Ro-Man (Robot Monster), The Capsule from Ray Harryhausen's version of First Men in the Moon, Hans Moleman painting the old Hitchcock TV show logo, The Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth, the aliens from Invasion of the Saucer Men, the Skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts, The Thing from Another World, (Son of) The Fly, Two of the Freaks from Todd Brownings film, Gort (The Day the Earth Stood Still), The Mummy, the Invisible Man, The Creeper/The Brute Man/Rondo Hatton and Death.
Hot damn, I know monsters!
2:17 - Okay, I admit, I have no idea what sort of zombie type Homer is in that shot.
2:20-2:23 - Alice in Wonderland.
2:24 - ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNO TOAD!
2:29 - 2:35 - Pan’s Labyrinth.
And that’s all I got. Maybe you can fill in the blanks.
